Our collaboration is rooted in the fusion of different creative worlds: the two-dimensional drawings and illustrations by Shahar, alongside the three-dimensional ceramic vessels sculpted and designed by Nurit.
 

Through joint research, image selection, and a process of trial and exploration, we developed a unique method that begins with working the clay – crafting the vessels, deeply engraving the texture of raven feathers, sculpting and attaching the beak, and firing the piece. Alongside this integration, there is also a process of deconstruction – using elements as independent units, such as creating ritual necklaces from the sculpted beaks.
 

Nurit's vessels introduced Shahar to a new creative format, while Shahar’s ravens found their place on Nurit’s ceramics. Thus, through dialogue – between delicacy and materiality, between line and volume, between precision and intuition – a new creation emerged, rich in depth, complexity, and unexpected connections.
 

Beyond the artistic process, this project represents a personal journey – a transition from mother and daughter to creative partners. Our artistic partnership is built on mutual trust, honest critique, and a shared passion for research, creation, and culture. From our individual artistic monologues, a dialogue has emerged – a body of work that bridges our perspectives and gives them a unified voice.
